My 15 month old daughter screams all day. I'm not sure if she's frustrated that she can't quite communicate or she's just doing it for fun or to see our reaction. In any case, does anyone have any good ideas about what to do... do you ignore or do you react?

Yes she takes naps and eats well. She is probably teething but is it normal for her to be screaming all day. I don't mean crying she just screams?

I would probably get it checked out anyway. It may c"vs be an ear infection. I know someone who's child screamed all the time and had ear infections regularly and he needed to get grommets in his ears. I don't believe that a child screams for nothing, a child who cannot speak yet has no other way to communicate.
Hatzlocho!

I do know of people who haave kids who scream all day.....then they get older they are fine and calm little people.
Still, if you have not talked to your pediatrician about it, I would.
Good luck!

Both my boys screamed at this age. My younger just liked to hear himself make the noise. My older one though was extremely frustrated that he couldnt' communicate and as he learned way to communicate (mostly through sign language) the screaming dropped off dramatically.
So I would check it out... could be an ear infection, or some other reason. No reason to make your eardrums suffer!
