Because I feel like a drag on them if I'm not feeling happy. Or maybe I got so good at faking positivity. Or maybe I don't know how to connect with others in a meaningful way. Or maybe I just can't connect with the people who are my friends and husband in a meaningful way. Idk.

I have friends. But maybe in the past I had friends that were a better fit or match for me.

Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Because for a social bug to be lonely is a killer. As an extrovert, it's important to socialize.
I'm curious If an introvert also feels as lonely?
Why don't you go outside? You'll see people and won't feel as lonely.
Why don't you call up a friend to schmooze? That's what I do when I'm lonely.

I think I fall between introvert and extrovert. I need lots of social interaction and love it but it does drain me if too much and I recharge by being alone.
I don't really see people outside that aren't busy running past hi, bye.
Sadly, my friends are either very busy hosting y"t, working, or are anti-phone and texting doesn't satisfy for me. I feel like some people are busy feeling too busy to make time for such things as shmoozing.

Great question. I'm not shy I don't think. I come across pretty extroverted. I used to be preoccupied with what others think of me when I was young. Now not so much.
