He screams unless he is latched on. Not necessarily even nursing but latched. He has been doing this for a few weeks.

So if he’s on the floor or in the stroller or in his crib or in a bouncy seat he’s crying? He’s literally only not crying when he’s on you?

Speak to pediatrician. Maybe colic.

Is he getting enough to eat? Could be he is so hungry and not able to suck efficiently or you aren’t making enough milk.

A few weeks? This is not normal. Please see a pediatrician.

As a mother of an infant and many other kids it does not sound right not in an alarming way but you might as well get to the root of it
Inconsolable babies can also mean sensory issues in addition to things mentioned above
I would have a full work up with pediatrician and lactation consultant and not stop until he's doing better

Sound like he’s very hungry. Maybe try a bottle of formula and see what happens. Worked for my son and my niece. They were screaming non-stop until they got formula.

Have you tried gas medicine? Will he let you use a sling? Could he be teething?

Are you breastfeeding exclusively? How do you know that you have enough supply to satisfy him?

if he's not gaining allot try pumping and bottle feeding for a couple of feedings to get an idea of how much he's getting, should be at least 3 oz per feeding, but some babies need more.
it could be teething already though its unusual.
more likely colic or some other stomach/reflux related pain.
