Alas I have a shelf 11.25 inches, I ordered some bins but they are over 5 1/2 inches & I can't stack 2.
I prefer on the larger width, say 9x12 or so. They are for my extra or out of season scarves... or until I am ready to give some away... sigh
but at least organizing is a first step????

These are only 10x6, but they are 5" in height and you can fit 2 side by side to fit a 12" space. Keeps things very neat. You can stack them.

Would you do just 1 deeper bin and fold the scarves vertically, just taller?

These are super low price, but I don't think they're stackable.

Thanks all who replied.
I guess there's a reason people use a professional organizer...

I'm afraid if the bin is too small it will fit too few to be worthwhile.

What I have now is about 6" high so maybe I should just get something bigger. OTOH I do stacnd the rolled up scarves ala Marie in my drawers and I doubt they are more than 5"...

These are great for scarves.
They come in 3 sizes, the smallest size being almost 5”” tall.
Come in multiple colors as well.

Thanks Periwinkle! I definitely want with a lid so they don't get dusty sitting up on the shelf (since I plan to use this for those I wear less often).

Go in to a store like the Container Store or Organicer so they can find you the right bin.

Or like someone suggested you can go into the container store.
Ikea and target have very large selections too.

Good Luck!
