Advice needed for a dummie.
I have a zillion pictures on my iphone and I want to figure out the smartest way to print the ones I want. I don’t have enough space in my laptop (MacBook) to transfer all the pictures and videos and then sort pick and delete.
And if I go through pic by pic on my phone it’ll take forever and just never happen.
What’s my best option?

Set up a Google Photos account, transfer the pics there, then access on your computer

Sign in to iCloud from your desktop, you'll see all your pictures there.
Go through them and you can select which ones you want to download.
Download them all into a folder and upload that folder on to any photo printing site.

Does Google photos have unlimited space?
I don’t have my photos backed up to iCloud

You should be able to back up to iCloud now. Get it started over wifi, leave phone near your router overnight, and most if not all should be done by the morning.

I don’t have iCloud bc I don’t have enough storage on iCloud for All my pics and videos.. is it worth paying extra for?

I found google drive upgrade cheaper than icloud. Either one is worth the space you are getting. comes out to about 10 per month

Is there no way to do what I need without one of these storage clouds?
Like can I open the camera roll from my phone on the computer and just select from there?

Download the Shutterfly app. Then upload your pictures you want to develop on it. Then sign in via your pc and order them. Easy and convenient

When I open the Photos app on my Mac with my phone plugged in it offers me to transfer photos from the phone, either selected ones or all.
