I haven’t used a nightlight since I was a kid thirty years ago. I did a search on Amazon and see features like dusk to dawn, and dimmable.
What features should I look for if this is a night light for my three year old, for her to look af books for a few minutes before she falls asleep.
What did you find helpful?

I use a dimmable one. It allows for them to read, and then I lower it when it’s time to put the books away.

this room doesn’t lend itself to one. I guess dimmable is similar to shabbos lamp.

A red light so it doesn't mess with their circadian rhythm

I do a chargeable flashlight in a red sock. It has about an hour of battery life and then we charge it in the morning

My daughter likes to read by this shabbos nightlight.
It gets plugged directly into the wall and it has a piece on the side that you slide up and down to cover/uncover the shabbos light.

why would it mess with the rhythm if it’s not a bright room light?

I don’t close it. I put it on a very low setting.
