My 5 year old started dealing with allot of anxiety and I dont know how to help her. Its worse at night. she can only sleep in my room and even then she wakes up from nightmares and paces around most of the night. I was the same way growing up and BH outgrew it at a certain point but I wish there was something I can do for her. I already discussed this with a therepist but havent gotten anywhere. The basic calming techniques dont seem to work for her. She's super sensitive and smart. Any out of the box Ideas on what to do?

I’m so sorry that you are dealing with this. There’s a great book called “breaking free of child anxiety and OCD” that was recommended to me by a child psych when my child had similar issues. Hatzlacha!

Take her to a licensed child psychologist, it can really help!

Yup, that's how it started for us. Bh we saw major reduction in anxiety by treating chronic strep and brain inflammation

My DD suffered anxiety and would have regular meltdowns. We found reflexology and also a hypnotherapist who dealt with anxiety to be helpful. The hypnotherapist did tapping and visualisation.

Ya take her to your ped and let them rule out pandas first, if not pandas then you will go the anxiety route.

Check for airway issues.
Interesting you’re mentioning this. My 5 year old is the same. I know she has a compromised airway and thought that is the culprit. We’re working to correct that. She also has terrible oral health.
