Pardon my stupidity but how do you wash your bath mats- the ones that you use after a shower? A well respected repair man told me that you’re never supposed to put it into a washing machine. But silly me forgot to ask him how to wash it. I just got a new one recently and don’t want to do anything crazy with it.
Thanks

Depends what it's made out of. Mine are all a towel fabric material with no rubber on the bottom (from Target-Threshold brand) so I just throw them in with the towel load. I would image you can do the same for other types even with a rubber bottom but maybe someone who has those can answer

I always throw mine in the wash, otherwise they get moldy on bottom.

OP I’m not sure why exactly you’re not supposed to wash it in the machine but I’ve heard the same. However that only applies to top loading machines. If you have a front loading machine I believe it’s safe to wash.

I have a top loader and put it in. It's an old machine so maybe it's more sturdy

Thanks so much. It has the rubber on the bottom. I should’ve said this. Maybe that’s why I’m scared to wash it. We’ve always had used towels until now

I have one with rubber on the bottom and I wash & dry it with towels, it's fine and lasting for a few years already. Top loader.
