My son is having a hard time with chumash, not sure if he doesn't understand it to begin with or has trouble remembering it. He's doing well with other limudei kodesh subjects. He can't explain why he hates chumash classes. It's the same rebbe for all subjects. My son is in fifth grade. Any suggestions?

II think the first thing you want to do is discuss it with the Rebbe.
Just one thought- is his Chumash a smaller print and might he be having trouble reading the pasuk and/or Rashi for that reason?
