Peeling them right after cooking them definitely helps. When warm they are easier to peel.

Boil the water before putting the eggs in. Peels so easy since I started doing this.

Use older eggs. As eggs get older, some of the water evaporates through the shell, This means that when you boil it, there is a tiny gap between the egg and the shell, so the shell peels off easily.

I use same method and boil for 12-13 minutes. Then I spill water out and run under cold water for a few minutes to cook them off. Very rarely ever have a problem peeling.

Every method I’ve tried worked for some eggs but not all. And sometime, it was some and some within the same batch.

But what works most of the time is to rinse it right away with cold water..

I've made my hard boiled eggs 3 different ways throughout my marriage. Each time I got a new stove, I had to relearn how to make them. Somehow the method that worked for years didn't work anymore. Each gas range distributes heat differently, and using a new one is a learning curve with temperature and cooking time (more so with something delicate like hard boiled eggs that you want easy to peel, yellow not green, smelling fresh).

Which of these have you not tried yet?

My current method:
Fill a pot halfway with water and bring to a boil. Once it just starts to bubble, gently lower one egg at a time into the pot, using a long handled serving spoon. Set the timer for 13 minutes, and let the eggs cook. Turn off flame, pour off hot water into the sink and run cold water over the eggs until the water feels cool. Pat eggs dry, and refrigerate.

This was my method for many years before my current stove:
Place eggs into a pot and cover with cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a boil over high heat, cover, remove from heat, and let stand 13 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer eggs to an ice-water bath to stop the cooking. Leave in the ice-water to cool completely for 10 minutes. Pat eggs dry, and refrigerate.

Trying to remember how many minutes for my first method, which also worked for many years on my first stove. Eggs start in cold water with lots of salt. The water is brought to just a brisk simmer and the heat is adjusted to maintain that brisk simmer for I think it was 8 minutes. Eggs then rinsed under cold water for a few minutes.

Older eggs
Pour lots of salt (at least 1/4 cup) into the water for boiling
Drain and Rinse immediately with cold water
Boil for 5-7 minutes. Yolks will be yellow, not ringed in green

I boil the water and eggs together. Ra mom, that's probably the 3rd method.

My pot/stove, after boiling I cook for 10 min
My mom's pot/stove after boiling cook for 8 min

I then cool it off under running water. I left it sit for a few min in cold water. Less than 5 but I usually don't measure. I like to peel them warm and wet.

This works for me.

No preboiling the water
Let it cook for 10- 15 minutes after coming to a boil
Pour off hot water
Rinse with cold water
Lightly crack the shells so water can seep in
Let water run till the eggs have cooled down

Most of the time shells just slides off.
