Assuming I put equal beans and barley.
A class of thirty 8th grade boys. This is meant as a snack.
How much cholent should I make?
Is a 9x13 enough? Or double that?

A 9x13 pan is nothing for 30 teenagers....
I'd do at least triple the amount.

You can do it in the oven. Comes out good. Use a big pan and make 3 bags great northern beans to one bag barley. You don’t need it to be equal amounts- more bean than barley. Knee bones and cheek meat add to the taste of cholent in the oven
