My daughter wants to have this. So far I've only seen ones that need an internet connection. Does anyone know if theres one that works on its own?

You do need wifi I believe. But you don't actually need to have internet access in order to use it. The cricut software that you need to use in order to use the cricut runs through wifi but it's a desktop app.
