Just found a small one on DD 2 mos hand and went down the Google rabbit hole and now I'm freaking out.
Now that I think of it, I have a few myself. Does anyone have experience with this where everything was normal? I will mention it to her doctor at our next appointment.

They aren't always a big deal, just mention it to the doctor next time.
I have two, they are nothing. Other relatives have one or two as well, so not so strange that you and your child have.
As long as it is just one or a few, really don't worry about it.

My ds has 5, but when I asked the pediatrician about it, she just said that it doesn't count if it's fewer than 6.

Small ones or few ones are not usually problematic.
I would take a picture of them and make an appointment with a dermatologist.
But I would not worry.
My son has a big one on his back and the dermatologist told me not to worry about it. He also has two tiny ones on his shoulders.
Birthmarks are quite common. I would even say that I think it's your PP brain that is stressing you out, though I don't know you enough to feel comfortable to potentially hurt you by saying that.

I never heard this term before. I read your post and am wondering why on earth a newborn is drinking a coffee with milk lol

Did they all show up at once or one by one?

No hurt at all. I'm pretty sure my pp brain is a huge factor.

My baby had them show up one at a time. There needs to be 6 or more bigger than a certain size to be one symptom of NF1. If any parent has NF1 one symptom is all that's needed to be diagnosed, otherwise 2 or more symptoms are necessary for it to be NF1
