Olive oil has a low smoking point and is best used cold. Avocado oil, on the other hand, has a high smoking point and is great for sautéing and frying.

I don't think avocado oil has as many health benefits as evoo. I use it when I need a neutral taste or high heat.

I prefer avocado oil's neutral taste for almost everything cooked and fried.
I use olive oil cold, like in a salad.

I don't think it has health BENEFITS, but it has a lot less health downsides than other neutral oils.

It’s rich in oleic acid, polyunsaturated fats, carotenoids, and other antioxidant-rich nutrients that are linked to improved heart, skin, and eye health.
Avocado oil is not interchangeable with olive oil. You cannot use olive oil at high temperatures while you can cook avocado oil at high heat.

I use it instead of canola oil. For baking, frying and cooking. EVOO is for salads, fish, and dips.

You dont find evoo to have too strong a flavor? My mother used it growing up and I havent since im married because I rememember things having such a strong olive oil flavor, but maybe it was the way she used it...I'd love to use it because its so healthy but im always nervous

Now I'm even more confused lol
I've never used it. If I do would I use it to replace olive oil? Canola oil? Both? Depending on dish? On temp?
Appreciate the responses

I'd use it to replace canola oil. If I can use olive oil, I'd rather use that!

I use it too. It's healthier to sautee with because it has a higher burning point. Costs an absolute fortune here in Israel!!!!!!!
I am seriously considering getting one of those Ninja air pots (or whatever you call it) because I heard you can cook really good food without any oil. Oil that is heated is so toxic.
