I only start buying gloves when they're more like 4 or 5. Trying to get each finger into the right finger of the glove is too difficult and takes much longer when they're small. As they get older, they are able to do this independently or at least be helpful instead of hindering.

Mittens for sure!
I got my kids snow ones from Costco.
You can also find snow mittens on Amazon. I don’t have a link.
I like H&M’s lined hat and mitten set for just cold.

Mittens! I'm not looking for extra work or frustration in the morning.
Gloves is for when they can easily put it on on their own.

I actually had a student who came in the first day he was wearing them and said, "Look Morah! I have kittens!!"
