I feel like the AMAs are becoming very random and boastful, so here’s my boast.
Don’t ask me how I do it though.

How did you learn? Have you ever used it to get into your own house, or for any other reason? Are there websites or videos that teach how to do it?

What is a master lock?
Is my home not secure?

Very cool I would love to learn that. I pick the locks at home with a thin scissor, but not on the master lock level

My husband showed me. It took a few days and a lot of concentration until I got it the first time. And then over time I slowly got better and quicker at it.
My house isn’t padlocked, but if it was I would be able to get in.
I’m sure you can find some on YouTube.

Nice! I can pick a master lock sometimes, but not under a minute. My lock pick set is not really so good and I haven't practiced very much.

If you're relying on locks to keep it so, then no, it isn't

Master Lock is a company that makes locks.
The ones that I can pick easily are these:
https://www.amazon.com/Master-.....P1Y6/
I can’t open deadbolts, so if you have one (or a standard shabbos combo lock), you’re safe.
If it’s just a doorknob lock, I can probably get that open too.
Edited to add, you’re safe from me. Not from the sinister people out there in the world.

Lol never.
But my friends voted me “who is most the type to get arrested” in high school. So you’re on to something.

Is lock picking a cool innocent hobby? My son wants me to buy him a lock picking set. Trying to decide if I trust him enough for that?

It has come in handy before. I think it's funnand innocent as long as you don't oick any locks you shouldn't be picking. And he can help chaverim when he's older! They always need lock pickers.

This.
You have to know your son.
I think it can be a great hobby, and possible future career if he really enjoys it. I know my community can use more frum locksmiths.

Without revealing your secret methods, can you at least tell us what tools/supplies you use to do it?

I can pick a lock using hair grips aka bobby pins. Is this what you do? 🤔

Sure.
For padlock combination locks, (like the one I linked above) I use just my fingers. I figure out the code based on feeling it.
For a standard padlock (with a key) I use a pick lock set. This can take more than a minute sometimes.
For privacy doors/standard door jams, I use a thick card. (My sapphire chase card is amazing for this.)

I used to until I learnt some easier and less frustrating methods.
