Cant carry reading glasses to Shul on Shabbos. WWYD?

Is there anything people use, to attach glasses thats Halachically acceptable, if they cant carry their reading glasses to Shul on Shabbos, besides the very old lady looking reading glasses on a chain?

We hold you can't use the chain without an eruv.

If they must be brought, I would wear them, low, so I can see over them. But best would be to find a place in shul that you can leave a pair. If you're going to a different shul than usual (ex. you are away), dh can take them Friday night and leave them in a place he communicates to you. You would need an extra pair to do this, as you wouldn't have them the rest of Shabbos.

You can get glasses with bi-focals on the bottom part, so you can wear the glasses normally & see well when you're walking.

Ask your Rav. He may know of a creative solution for you.

Why can't you just wear them to shul?

Ask your Rav if that’s even an option. I know for a key, according to our Rav, it needs to be turned into something functional like a belt buckle you can’t just wear it on a necklace and pretend it’s jewelry.

My aunt needs reading glasses and was told she can't wear them to shul as she doesn't need them to see outside so it would be carrying. So check any idea with your LOR as I imagine there are different opinions.

Yes, theyre cheap, but that means going there before, which is probably the only solution.

You have to put them in shul before shabbos it’s the only way. You can’t wear things you don’t need on you it’s also carrying.

Can your dh take them for you Friday night? And then maybe you can find a place they can stay in general.

Better yet, buy a few pairs and a nice basket and start a "Gemach" in your shul.
