Can anyone recommend training underwear (for girls)?

Why do you need training underwear? Just go cold turkey. Otherwise they get confused and training takes much longer

I use the Gerber ones, purchased from Amazon or Walmart.

They still totally feel wet (not like pull ups) but it limits the mess.

It feels like underwear just contains some mess. All my kids were trained very quickly with it.

That's exactly why I use training underwear. The local stores don't even sell it anywhere. Buy it on Amazon.
