Hi, did anyone ever get shigella as an adult and have unbearable stomach cramps? They feel like labor pain except had I been having a baby I would've long gotten an epidural and had the baby already. I'm on day three and see no light at the end of the tunnel. I'm literally losing my mind from pain.

I heard of it. Someone told she went to l&d she thought she was in labor. Can you get antibiotics? Is it confirmed shigella?

I got antibiotics but so far it hasn't given me relief. He didn't take a stool test but claims it's going around rampant around here.

I wonder if you have food poisoning and need to be admitted to the hospital. Antibiotics or medicines that treat parasites (depending on what's going on) are sometimes used in treatment.

Bowel cramps/diarhea can feel indistinguishable from uterine cramps.

I wrote more but I erased it because amother is disabled in this forum.
