I’m not the ‘wanting kids’ woman.
I’m the ‘love grows on me’ woman.
Bh my kids are in a good environment and very much wanted now that they’re here.
I say, if you will truly love and care for the child and give the child the best of you, then yes, let Hashem decide because you’ll give it your all if you are gifted with another one.
If the thought scares you, then my way of thinking isn’t for you.

I am trying to conceive but honestly. I don't really want a baby. I find the first two years incredibly difficult. But I do want another child. And I know I'll rise to the occasion and take great care of my baby. But I do enjoy them alot more at preschool age and up.

I haven't read all the replies here so sorry if I'm repeating.
Wanting a child can mean wanting for a variety of reasons.
One reason can be "I love to cuddle babies and bring up kids"
Another reason can be "I feel a calling to bring another neshama into the world"
So, OP, I think your reason is a very good reason to try and have another child.

I have horrible pregnancies and the first year or 2 really hard with no sleep and teething and colds etc , but I see beautiful big families who siblings have each other ( I come from a very small family and always wanted a large one till I started having kids) I wish my kids can have more siblings , my youngest is almost 5 and I just turned 40 I’m so scared I’ll regret not having one more but so scared to get pregnant what if I really can’t handle it I won’t know till I’m there help!

My pregnancies are not easy. I would not have one if I genuinely didn’t want one. That said, I just had number 8 at 42. Because I wanted to.
