I would say till mid 50s it definitely could work (my mom is 60 and we’ve had a lot of simchas bh:). Past that it will depends on your how your figure evolves and overall look but you may want something else.
It’s a very classic style.

Ok, great! Just want to make sure I can wear it past 50! Lol

Just curious: would there be an age limit to this dress? Like if I want to wear it again in 5 or 10 years?

Im around your age and im not a fan of Princess style gowns on ‘older’ women but that may be my personal style

It's in fashion now, who knows what will be when you're 50.
Buy it now if you love it now, not on the assumption that you'll wear it in 5+ years again.

Keep in mind that you are going to have to line the top part, sleeves, and back. But it's beautiful

Lol my child just got married I wore a stunning gown with a very fitted bodice and full very dramatic skirt. I am a size 2. Boutique I bought it from posted me in it without my head on Instagram. Was overwhelmed by compliments. I AM 54 YEARS OLD. This thing some ppl have with age is a joke. All us senior citizens cannot be lumped together as having a certain body type or weight. You should see my size 4 mother!

don't bother lining it - wear a shell under, yes really, nobody will know the difference and it's wayyy cheaper. tuck it into your pantyhose, spanx, shorts etc so it doesn't ride up. or I guess buy an adult bodysuit shell

ps I would wear this as sister of the bride (I'm late 20s) this is my cut and I will wear this style imyh when I'm 50+ too. if it looks good, it looks good, I don't care what's in style or how old I am.

It’s beautiful. I’d wear it with a bodysuit underneath so no need to line.

No age limit. My 80 old mil would wear something like this. I would also and I am 34.

I also just bought myself a Mac Duggal dress for DD’s wedding. I am in my late 40’s. (But unfortunately no longer a size 4)

The top and the sleeves are transparent. You would probably need to wear a shell underneath or have a tailor line the top and sleeves. Take a closer look at it in all the colors and you will see what I mean.

You don't have to be a size 4 to look great and not a decrepit old hag at 50

It's fine for a mother but since it's popular for sisters as well you might want to spread the word to your side and the other side that this is what you're wearing if you want to make sure you don't match anyone.
