Can I send my daughter to school with a croup cough. She woke up with one but has no other symptoms. Is that considered contagious??

I know croup well. In runs in my family. It all depends on how the kid feels and if he/she has fever. My general answer is yes you can send her. But if the cough sounds bad and she's felling the croup then no.
In a mild case of croup it tends to get better during the day. If it's more severe than you hear it and the child feels it during the day too then you might need to give steroids.
