I've never been to a Friday night event without soup. To me, it wouldn't be Shabbos without chicken soup.

Asking again....do most skip the soup at a friday night simcha? I can imagine it being hard to serve. Most post just talk about fish course and main, no soup. Is it implied?

yes it's implied. Not much to discuss, standard chicken soup with matza ball or noodles or both....

Thanks!
My regular weekly soup has tons of vegies in big pieces. I assume for a simcha serving this many people, one would skip the vegies and just serve clear soup with kneidel? Or yes to the veg

I would put vegetables in the bowls, some and some, and people can take what they like, leave over what they don't
