I need a new excellent vacuum. We have an upright dyson and prefer an upright, but it's heavy. What are the newer lighter options with same cleaning power? Also do the lightweight ones have attachments that you can put on to get into tight corners? Please post links or model numbers, brands. Are dyson cordless vacuums good?
I need the vacuum mainly for carpet but also wood floors.

I'm very happy with my Shark Navigator. There are different ones and some come with accessories. I find it to be lightweight and easy to use, with great suction.

Maybe I just really hate vacuuming but I have this one cuz soooo many ppl love it but I don’t like mine. For flat carpeted surfaces it’s fine, not worse than my previous one, not majorly better either. But I do not find it easy on steps, and for corners and crevices it’s really hard to use. JMHO.

I have the v11 and it’s great on carpet- I use the carpet attachment for hard floor and it’s ok but probably if I would change to the right attachment it would be even better! I love it though and would never go back to corded
