What are some examples of Adar boys names? It's almost my due date and I have no idea what to name this little guy. I've always just named after family but now we have to choose a name and both my husband and I are completely lost.
I already have a Mordechai and don't love the name Simcha.
Looking for typical American yeshivish names

Might not be yeshivish enough, but what about Meir, Uriel, Yair - for Layehudim hayta ora.
Yair in particular, because Mordechai Hayehudi was Mordechai ben Yair.
Or you could look at the parsaha when you give birth - it will probably mention Aharon, Elazar, Itamar.

Asher also means happy but I'm not sure how many people would specifically connect it to Adar.

I know a boy who is named Adar, so you could just do that.
Or something related to simcha - Gil, Gilad, Ronen, Ron, Ran, Asher, Osher.
Something related to light (layehudim haita ora v'simcha) - Or, Ori, Lior, Uriel, Yair, Meir, Elior.
Or you could do Shalom, since there was peace after the fighting with the persians/medeans.
Or something about how Hashem saved us - Nissim, Rachamim, Yeshaya, Yehoshua, Elazar, Eliezer, Azriel, Azarya, Chananya, Chananel.
We had 2 kids in Adar, we gave one a related name but not the other because there wasn't anything we liked, so we just picked an unrelated name from Tanach.

My son has an adar birthday and we couldn't name any of the usual names, but we did one of Moshe's other names

Wow good to know! My son Eliyahu was born on Shushan Purim and we didn’t know (until now) the connection! Thank you!

There is also a midrash somewhere (maybe someone can help me out) that the Navi Malachi was Mordechai.
