And those are full of sugar, also not FDA approved. Why are those so much better?

I’d much rather give my kid sugar than chemicals that are found in cars antifreeze

Same as many others my child has been in it for years with the blessing of multiple pediatricians and specialists, 0 issues. Stop reading fear mongering garbage online, the most harm comes from the long term constipation.

I'm a big fan of natural. But I totally agree. The most damage comes from constipation and you should do whatever means works to not have constipation.

Same and I'm pretty opposed to added sugars.

To me, doing whatever it takes meant removing dairy and gluten from my child's diet, making sure they eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and are getting enough water, lots of magnesium throughout the day including magnesium and Epsom salt footsoaks 3 times a week, a good multi strain probiotic twice daily, digestive enzymes with every meal and this https://www.iherb.com/pr/biora....._BwE.

Every once in a while when needed we also use magnesium oxide for a clean out.

I used miralax daily from age 15-20. No side effects bh.
I still take something today for constipation, but I went off miralax when I was pregnant and couldn’t drink the cup of juice with powder.
My constipation comes from an ED combined with IBS so I don’t think it will ever go away.

What do you use instead? I suffer from chronic constipation too.

I saw this tip on the voice a few years back and it has been life changing Wink - before u eat anything drink 3 glasses of water and it will cure your constipation. It literally Works like magic. I use miralax for my little one regularly and it is definitely healthier than the constipation - poor thing!

It's an expensive treatment, but daily dragonfruit consumption really helps for a lot of people.

My child suffered from constipation for years. We started giving him miralax when he was under 2 years old and in order to maintain healthy bowel movements we had to keep increasing the dose. When that wasn't working we had to add exlax which caused leaking.

I switched several months ago to using vitamin C and magnesium and for the first time in his life he is consistently having bowel movements. It has been a game changer for us.

Also interested in knowing what dosage of magnesium and vitamin C you're giving

Can you please tell us the name of the kosher brand that you use?

I use chewable vitamin C and magnesium gummies.
Yes, I know they have sugar in them, but stool sitting in the body for a week is more toxic in my opinion Wink
For vitamin C, the only side effect of taking too much is loose bowels, so you can give as much as is needed.
I started with 600 mg, and added 300 mg per day until we reached loose stool, then I moved back until we reached healthy stool. My child currently takes between 1,200 - 1,800 mg per day, half in the morning and half with lunch.
Do not give Vitamin C later in the day because it may make it harder to fall asleep.

For magnesium, never give more then 600 mg per day. Start with 100 and move up slowly if needed. My child currently takes 300 mg.
Magnesium helps with sleep as well so this can be given before bed.

I use a pill made in Israel called Laxin-Forte made from prunes and flaxseeds and other natural herbs. One pill every evening, works like a dream.
