For parents to be the ones to make sure children are doing what they are supposed to, like

Brushing teeth
Showering
Saying shema
Changing underwear
And the like.....

Does it change from boys: girls
Kids without issues/with adhd/hfa?

What age is too old to micromanage and you just need to step back?

Ideally these skills and habits are scaffolded.
So parents start off by actually doing for the child, and then slowly slowly teaching the kid how to do it and then just supervising and then reminding each step of routine and then just saying “bedtime!” and the kid is responsible for the routine…
So before trying to figure out if it’s age appropriate to be doing it for the kid, maybe figure out what stage of teaching the skill and habit you and the child are at.
ETA: I do think it’s valuable to know what the developmentally appropriate stages are. I should have said “besides trying to figure out if it’s age appropriate” not necessarily “before”.
