and the company operates in the US and makes USD, but you get paid in ILS- do you refer to your salary in shekel or dollar? The shekel can sound like a big number but in USD it's very average. I prefer to speak in dollars unless there's a reason not to?

I say my hour rate in Dollars, I get paid in dollars to my PayPal so I receive it as Nis but when doing my report in Israel I report it as Nis

I'm confused. In what context are you talking about it?
I don't usually tell people my salary unless I'd have to (it hasn't come up yet) but I would say $x or xx shekel to make it clear...

My dh does. We live in shekel and our bills are in shekel so shekels. When I contract for US companies and I’m paid a dollar salary for hours, it’s paid to my US account in USD and I still think about it in shekels.

If it's an internal salary review, the company pays you in dollars so discuss it in dollars.

they actually pay me in ILS
