it be from too much detergent? There's a lot of soap bubbles and it's coming out. Also in the beginning it screeched and made a strange noise. Then the noise stopped but now it's leaking. Or could it be something else?

You should see hardly any lather. Too much detergent will ruin the machine, so, yes, if you're seeing a lot of lather, that could be the source of the problem. In future, know that the less detergent you use, the better. Hope you can get a service person soon!

1. Make sure your machine can take pods, they don’t all.
2. Look at the rubber gasket. Mine has a little indentation on the bottom, from the clothes going in and out, and I have a very small leak.

Most likely a tear in the gasket. I once had this and the repairman turned the gasket so that the tear was on top and then it didn't leak.
