Please tell me if you've been there and what attractions you enjoyed.
Thank you!

Alamo - we took a pic outside didn’t go in.

Buckhorn Saloon & Texas Ranger Museum - very interesting museum we walked there from The River Walk.

The River Walk - many cute shops alongside & there’s a boat ride

What did you do about kosher food?
Where did you stay?

We stayed in Houston and drove back and forth. Same with kosher food although we hardly bought in Houston mainly used what we took along with us.

The Alamo and River Walk are musts, and the boat ride on the river walk is highly recommended. We also loved Sea World and had lots of fun at Natural Bridge Drive-thru Safari. I don't recall any kosher restaurants when we went, but we brought with us from either Dallas or Houston.

Thank you all!
Is the river walk appropriate for teenagers? Can you please tell me more about the safari?

There’s a kosher restaurant run by Chabad about 25 minutes from downtown
There’s a kosher food truck twice a week outside the shul
There’s a HEB with a small kosher section including CY cheese milk and yogurt

Yes the riverwalk is appropriate especially in the winter. It’s not a beach so people are not in swimwear…
