My children (6) serve and clear without any system in place (as far as I can tell) so I guess it can go either way. Usually two kids serve each course and they all clear each course. The youngest is 13 so maybe they’re just super mature? (Although I don’t remember getting up much during the meals in years).
I know this is unusual (especially since they’re mainly boys) and I’m very grateful.
I do set the table as well as clean up the kitchen after the meal.

Somehow I think the two of them are also the world's best mom.

You thought we only have one worker to help with the housework?
Oh, yeah. We do. And it is me.
But my kids help. And lately my 11 year old decided he loves dishing out the chulent, and he won't let me do it anymore. I am not complaining.

When the kids were little, I guess it was me but DH always helped with clearing off and clean up afterwards.
Now, we don't have a set system. My youngest usually sets the table, whichever girls are home plate and arrange the salads before the men come home. Each course is brought to the table and cleared off by a different child, sometimes with me, sometimes not. I usually do the actual serving. DH puts all the left overs etc back in their containers and puts them back in the fridge. Don't actually know how that started, I don't think I ever asked him to. We have a rotation for doing the dishes after Shabbat.
Usually goes pretty smoothly and works for us.

Me, with help from the girls. I like being in charge of my kitchen, and I need to get up and stretch between courses.

I don’t even know. It just happens. Our kids are too little to be helpful
