I'm making my first simcha at home and cooking for a crowd. I'm quite overwhelmed by the numbers of it all. I was wondering if we could have a master thread of tips and hacks for cooking for a crowd.
What's your hack or top for cooking for a crowd?

Do you have a big freezer?
So many things can be made in advance.
If you do:
Challah rolls
Most cakes
Many dips
Soups
Many side dishes
Beef

1. Serve as many things as possible that are ok room temperature so that you don’t need as much oven space
2. Serve more veggies and fewer dips on the ladies side
3. Tomato dip always spills. Choose dips with more viscosity
4. More beverages and more paper goods than you think

Hire waiters or have designated ppl who know what and when to serve.

adding to the delegating part- delegate things that need to be done fresh-the last minute things. freeze whatever else you can ahead ( there will be enough for you to do warming and welcoming guests and last minute surprises).

I think it’s so elegant and also easier to do smaller variety and large quantity.and eveything is plated -and u can print out beautiful menus. If u can get waiters to do the playing and serving that would be best.
