My daughter is in the process of applying and interviewing now for seminaries. There is a particular place that both she and DH and I feel would be a great fit.
Two different people happen to know administrators in that seminary and ( with out us asking) made a call to say what a great girl my daughter is ( which BH is true!)
A close family member of ours is close with a relative of an administrator there.
Does it make sense to ask that relative to put in a call? I don’t want it to seem weird , like how much outside push does this girl need .. should I ask that relative to put in a call if she gets waitlisted ? Or is it really not effective then?

I wouldn't recommend it. It could work against her.

I think those calling on their own was probably enough pull if it’s going to work.
