Until what age do your kids like holding you hand when going out with you?
Just curious.

Lol, yes my two year old toddler refuses to hold hands, they like their independence!
But my older kids are happy to. I wasn't sure if my son was uncomfortable with it today though, hence my post, was curious until what age is 'normal'.

I think it depends on the kid.
My preteen daughters like to hold my hand but I don’t think my 8 year old son would want to.

So depends on the kid!! I feel like my 9 year old would faster than my 7 year old. But in general, they stop well before that, especially if they have friends who will see

My 7 year old likes holding my hand too. She also likes sleeping in my bed and always being as close to me as possible without actually being inside my body. She’s not my baby, but she was for a long time. She also suffered the most during covid, which is what this is all about. Working on it, but it’s really baby steps.

My 11 year old daughter does. My 8 year old son does. When do they stop? I don’t know.
But they didn’t hold my hand at age 2 what 2 year old is going to hold mommy’s hand?

I always hold my 8 year olds hand . And he’ definitely has to hold it when we are crossing the street . Right now he’s sleeping all cuddled up to me in my bed . 8 years old is a baby…

My oldest is 6 and he holds my hand. Every time I walk with him I think this might be the last time he asks to hold my hand and it makes me a little sad. Kids growing up gets me all teary

Shocked that you stop at 3, how do you cross the street with them?
Obviously its personal. I know healthy 10 year olds who still hold parents hands. I think a 12 year old would be weird but maybe there are extenuating circumstances, like if one of them - the child or the mother was or is sick and they are holding on to the connection kinda thing.
