First thing that came to mind is
peanuts and cracker Jack
But then think about the food you typically serve at sport games either at the stadium or viewing party
Hot dogs
Wings
Chips
Beer
Chips
Guacamole

A relative of mine did a sports theme one year, and actually cut open and resealed a sports bottle (as linked below) and presented her themed MM inside it. It was so adorable. Also very simple to prepare
