Old Recipe for salad w Mandarin Oranges

Hi I used to make this salad all the time -- so did everyone else. haven't made it in ages. My daughter wants the recipes so I found a few versions on social media. But she says none of them are the original I used to make. She claims the original recipe called for using a hand blender to make a sauce that had -- among other things -- sugar.

Anyone by any chance have that specific version of the recipe? I want to be a good mother Wink

2 fresh mangos diced
2 pomegranates
2 cans mandarin oranges (no juice)
1 can pineapple tidbits (no juice)
2 green apples (peel and diced)
1 red apple (peels and diced)
Sauce: blend
1 pkge frozen mango
¼ c. sugar
1/3 c. orange juice
2 tsp. lemon juice
Mix with salad
Crunch:
½ c. coconut
1 c. ground almonds
1 sticks marg.
¾ c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. crushed rice crispy
Bake crunch few min. till brown. Put on top of fruits

Salad:
1 bag shredded red cabbage
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
1 cup craisins
1/2 c slivered almonds
4 scallions, thinly sliced
parsley
sesame seeds

Dressing:
1/2 c oil
3 Tbsp sugar
1 Tsp dijon mustard
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/8 tsp black pepper

Did the dressing have onions? My family used to make this back in the day..

16 oz shredded purple cabbage
8 oz shredded carrots or 3 carrots, julienned
1/3 cup pine nuts
1/3 cup scallions, sliced
11 oz can mandarin oranges
1-2 handfuls craisins

Dressing:
1/2 c oil
4 Tbsp brown sugar
4 Tbsp red or white wine vinegar
1 Tbsp reserved mandarin juice
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp consomme powder or more salt
garlic powder

This is the old recipe we all used to make years ago. Brought back memories. Thanks for sharing. I bet this is the one op wanted.
