What does the costume look like?
If more yerushalmi style I'd do Israeli foods but honestly I'm chassidish and don't know what different foods we eat!
Maybe galle but I'm not sure how many people will appreciate that!

I did this one year!

It was mini glass ball jars with a mini cello bag for crackers from Amazon.
We bought the herring at a appetizing place directly (in BP) so it was a bit cheaper. Kichels from bingo. Dh mostly gives to his friends and chavrusahs so it was fun.

Muhn is kokosh with poppy seed jelly inside. And kindel is kokosh filled with nuts inside instead of cocoa.

Its minhagim used certain times.

You can do chicken soup with matzo balls in a Mason jar, ball jar that seals and doesn't need refrigeration

Sweet lukshen kugel, fruit Compote in a Mason jar.
