Looking to buy a cute aleph bais book to read with my daughter. Do you have one you particularly like or don't like? What do you like/not like about it?
edit: ideally one that is educational and not just cute

My absolute favorite is the aleph bais trip - by hachai
Because of the font, the enjoyable text, my son at 26 months learned all the letters from that book (the other kids didn't lol but also we misplaced it for a while!)

Me too but I don’t feel like it actually taught or even really familiarized my kids with any of the letters.
It is a cute book though.

I found it helped more when I pointed to each letter as I read. But I really saturate my kids environment with aleph Beis. There's fridge magnets, and letters on the Walls. Puzzles, blocks and aleph Beis songs. We go through aleph Beis when going to sleep and on walks. Looking at the first page of a siddur when Mommy davens.

It's a total riff of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. An adorable book, but I wouldn't use it to teach Alef Beis. It's good for exposure though.

Aleph beis trip on the aleph beis ship
My toddler (20 months) won't go to sleep without reading that book NIGHTLY. Yes I do know the entire book by heart.

I actually really really dislike chicka chicka boom boom but I like the aleph beis trip. Maybe because the pictures are cuter.
But yeah I agree it’s more for the exposure than to really teach your kids. Even when I pointed at the letters I don’t think they paid much attention to what they looked like.
The zigawat books were great for teaching the letters but those are for older than toddler age.

I love the rhthym! I don’t even pay attention to the rest. Different books have different roles 🎶

I love this book, it’s brilliantly done
But it’s not for toddlers, and I cannot read it in one sitting.

I agree it's very long but it taught my 3 year old the sounds. Which is more important than recognizing the letters for learning to read.

Can you please share what blocks you have and what you put on the wall?

Foam blocks and I have a massive poster hanging on the wall as well as alef Beis index cards blue tacked around the house. Printed full letter page of a few specific letters as well.
