We are traveling and our cell phone carrier doesn't work abroad. Does anyone have any ideas how to have a phone in Israel? We are unexpectedly leaving in the next 24 hours and live in Baltimore.

We bought a tripletel sim card in a local Jewish cellphone store. We activated it online. Is there any such store in Baltimore? If not you can get it in Israel.

There are vending machines that sell sim cards in Ben Gurion Airport at arrivals.
Are your phones unlocked?
Then any sim will work.

Question: What makes one eSim card better than the other? I've used SimToIsrael for my older phone but now have a new phone that needs an eSim. Google came up with several other options but know nothing about eSims.

I googled it and this is a reputable company that I know of. So I gave you that option.
Many people I know have phone service with them.
