The Hamptons - although its more like 2 hours
Deal - is 1 1/2 hours, look up there are tons of threads on the site with options
If you are willing to spend - the city is always nice, with a nice hotel, nice dinner, a show (if you do that)
Teaneck has a similar vibe to the city (tall buildings and tons of restaurants) for a lot cheaper
If you don't mind seeing a lot of people you know, and the weather is decent- Deal is the best.
Personally when its a quick getaway I prefer not to meet anyone I know, which is why the Hamptons or the city are more up my alley....
