I guess I am addressing the wives of Mesivta Rebbis, or Rebbi's in general. My son's rebbi has gone above and beyond for our son recently and I want to acknowledge my appreciation this upcoming Purim.
He is a simple, yeshivish person with a large family ranging 0-20.
I feel a bit dumb to just give him a check since he doesn't expect 'payment' for the services he's giving and I don't want to put an amount, I want it more to be a real gesture of appreciation.
Willing to spend up to $150
Ideas please

how about a plaque for Rebbis.. they sell it in seforim stores, my husbands chavrusah gave him one bc he’s like a Rebbi to him.. you can also give a gift certificate to a local seforim store..

Cash is the only thing that will for sure be appreciated
Other ideas are nice but may or may not be appreciated
A large beef jerky platter can be nice

Cash is probably the best. Why spend all that money on something he may not appreciate

Do you feel comfortable to ask his wife?
