Hoping someone has some ideas. I’m looking for a high school for my 8th grade daughter. She’s BH sweet, friendly and outgoing. However she is not academic but puts a great deal of effort into her work. I’m looking for a high school (preferably girls only but open to coed) that is warm and caring and will value a good girl and not judge her by test scores. Something with low pressure academics or leveled learning but good kids. Please no schools for otd or addiction BH. Thanks! Oh and I’m in the tri state area but willing to move anywhere for a good school. Thanks!

When I was in BY of Baltimore in the 90s, the school was FULL of girls like this.
Not sure what it's like now but maybe some Baltimore Imas can chime in.

Can you elaborate?
I teach in a girls’ high school. Every year, I have a handful of students who are extremely not academic. We work with them, we modify, and we let it go. We try to give them other ways to shine. It’s normal!
What are you looking for that is so different that you are willing to go co-Ed?

Are you willing to move or are you referring to a 45 commute?
Is she currently in a BY or in a MO school?

Isn’t that very academic, competitive and hard to get into?

I have a similar temperament daughter who went to nefesh and was happy there! But there probably is a good amount of girls with emotional issues who end up there as well. Feel free to message me if any questions.

Thanks. Seems like if you want a chilled out girls school academically you have to be ok with girls who have bigger issues and that’s so hard when ur trying to make friends you can relate to….
