Translation - for any Americans reading this, the OP is talking about what you call undershirts!
Generally speaking, I prefer M&S. I've never had a teenager willing to wear one, from any company. Nor was I interested myself.

I’m curious: do you mean worn on top-of a bra? Like a camisole? (To me undershirts are worn by little girls who don’t need or wear a bra)

My teen daughter wears tank tops from Walmart as an undershirt. She likes the extra layer under her button-down uniform shirt and they are thin and soft.
