I bake tons with honey, coconut sugar, maple syrup.

I don't use white sugar.

Some favorites are:

Maple syrup meringues. My family waits all year for these.

Almond butter cookies with honey

Strawberry sorbet with honey

Pesach crackers with potato starch

Any cake I swap out sugar for a coconut sugar or honey.

I would love this recipe please. Pesach is the only time of year we have sugar in the house - primarily because my kids go crazy for meringues. Would love to know how to make them your way.

I've never made these, but may try it for a simple cookie, might be nice to then spread almond butter on top (of baked cookie). It says tiger-nut flour, but as it says can definitely sub almond flour:

Any form of simple sugar whether it is white, brown, honey is pretty much the same.

Some baked goods are less decadent than others but the best is to make something fabulous and just enjoy it instead of gorging on healthy baked stuff.

I keep hearing this but I do see a difference when I cut out white sugars and use honey instead.

Cocoa cookies
2 1/4 cups almond flour
1 cup cocoa
1/3 cup coconut sugar
2 1/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp sea salt
3/4 cup coffee/water

I like to add some very dark choc chips but don’t need to. Can also add some cinnamon.. shape into balls and flatten. bake like ten min. They don’t spread.
My sister in law gave me these last Pesach and been making them since!

Try looking for raw vegan desserts
There’s a chocolate mousse pie by Jennifer Cornbleet

Raw vegan brownies
Homemade Lara Bars
Date Truffles

You could make baked apples and pears.

Frozen bananas
Frozen grapes

The best recipe ever. I make them literally in repeat. They need to be in the oven for a looong time but are literally the best. My family waits all year and all my siblings come to take. They are heaven!

Rorie has so many recipes that don't use white sugar. If you would use honey or maple syrup look up paleo websites. There are hundreds of almond flour recipes with those sweeteners. Detoxonista has great ones. Ambitious kitchen has amazing almond butter brownies with maple syrup.

I know I saw some fairly healthy recipes in the last couple of weeks' magazines. E.g. almond flour, coconut sugar etc. Basically lower carb.

For instance, someone had the suggestion to sub applesauce for oil and sugar in a blondie, perhaps? Or it may have been a carrot muffin. See, I can't remember much of what I've seen, only that there were a few things I wanted to save.

Alas, now I went to scan them in and I can't find any. (Probably the overzealous declutterer who shall not be named was at my stack of magazines, although I thought I hid them pretty well....)

If anyone is currently hiding in the closet eating chocolate, or otherwise taking a break and leafing through magazines, please enlighten us with any healthy items you come across.
