If you have both, can you please tell me how it works when you use a place that takes both?
Can medicaid be used to pay co-pay?
If private insurance pays a maximum of benefits but jersey care is unlimited, are you eligible for longer services?
Tia!

I have Medicaid and also pay through the roof for a separate policy from the marketplace, since my OB doesn’t accept Medicaid

Technically one is your primary and one is your secondary that covers what primary doesn’t cover

I am not sure about benefit maximums since my insurance does not have that

If your njfam is covered by your provider though, why do you pay for separate insurance?

NJ familycare should pick up on all the costs not covered by the primary. Yahalom had a workshop on this last week

Yes you give both and Medicaid covers whatever the primary declines to cover. So if you have a copay then Medicaid will cover the copay. But that’s only if the provider accepts Medicaid of course.

Because we had major medical bills that were not covered by nj family care.
Now she might go to a place that takes both.
Pretty new situation for us so I wasn't sure.

Hi, would you be able to explain more?

DD was just kicked off jerseycare (when we did our renewal) because she hasprivate insurance to cover ABA. Is there something to do about that?
