We are currently renovating and while I have a designer, I am very overwhelmed about the design for the master bedroom. Ceilings and wall.
I am looking for an elegant soft look. I am an organizer and like a neat look.
I’d love some help or ideas of what you did for yourself and enjoy!

Financially I am not looking to go all the way but if it’s worth the beauty I’d do it

What is the layout of the space?
Do you already have furniture or will you purchase?
What is the flooring?

When you say elegant soft this is the look I envision, tell me if any of these are the feel you are going for, and I can help you find pieces to achieve the look

I’ll send the layout in a moment.
I have not purchased furniture yet and will be doing hardwood floors

Thanks for sending pics but not sure why my filter isn’t letting those pictures thru!

Find some inspo pics you love and give to your designer. She should be able to make it happen

are any of the photo's what you where going for ( when you said elegant I thought transitional) - or would you be interested in a more mcm or modern farmhouse look like one of these

Also what exactly are you looking for:
Inspo photo's u can take to the designer?
Layout recommendations?
a mood board to take to the designer?
Links to products to diy?

Ok I got the pics. I absolutely love the first post you sent. Thanks so much!

Exactly the vibe I’m looking for. I’d love to combine the elegance of the picture with the pendants and the picture with the gold circular fixture

Is that woodwork on top of the headboard? Or wallpaper?

Its woodwork, just slats painted over

the texture is what makes it pretty imho

You could probably achieve a similar look for cheaper with a textured wallpaper, like a grasscloth

your designer should be able to help

more pics in that vibe

this is a similar look with wallpaper instead of slats

without any slats on top

Ok so I see I like the woodwork and textured feel. It’s dressier.

I agree - also more expensive then paint or wallpaper.

Also consider that its more of a "look" and you may get bored of it, and it will be more of a headache to change....

Anyone here in boro park or know someone in boro park starting as a designer that can help me out? Not looking to hire another high end designer and super frustrated with mine. Too intimidating and unclear

To be clear I’ll obviously pay, just not looking for top dollar now

May I share what I learned when I redid my master bedroom ? Those reading lights on either side of the bed are great for those of us who need to read to fall asleep BUT for some reason they are always installed high so you can’t turn them off without reaching your arm really high which ended up hurting my arm and shoulder. If I was doing it now I wouldn install the lights lower so I could reach from a lying down position to turn on or turn off.
Another suggestion which we did - put a switch to the main ceiling light fixture in your room next to your bed , saves you from getting up to turn off or on the main light in the room. Of course these are small issues in the scheme of life ! But once you’re putting the time and money into the project you may as well do it right.
