Hi can anyone recommend a very good plastic surgeon in the nearby Lakewood area?
Looking for someone good for 18 yr old son. Please share any positive experiences and especially any negative ones so we know who not to go to. Thank you!!

Dr Ajul Shah was recommended to me by Dr Tarlow, was very happy. It was for nerve repair post stitches

I'm sorry for making that assumption. I think my son would feel more comfortable with a male surgeon. Can anyone recommend a male surgeon?

So interesting, because I also asked Dr Tarlow (almost 2 years ago) for a plastic surgeon referral and he said he didn't have anyone good to recommend. When did he refer Dr Shah?

For serious medical needs of any type, you need to look outside of Lakewood. Call Chaim medical for a referral.

Most plastic surgeons are not one size fits all. Some are good at certain things and not good at certain things.
I would not use the same doctor for a nose job as I would for a breast augmentation, for example.
You might get specific recommendations if you post what procedure you are looking to have done.

Dr. Shah is a plastic surgeon that specializes in hand injuries which is probably why Dr Tarlow did not recommend him to you.

You will probably need to travel. Who recommended the procedure? They should have who to recommend? There are very few specialists in Lakewood area. Ackerman is an NP.
