really? Mine malfunctioned in middle of shana rishona. Heat wasn't evenly distributed at all. Burn in one spot and freezing cold in another.

Bingo hot plate is not as hot as other brands. It kept my food warm but didn't cook my cholent as much as my old hot plate did. (If you don't leave your cholent in a pot on the hot plate over Friday night this isn't an issue for you).

I always look for safety certification like UL or ETL when buying kitchen appliances. As far as I know, the Magic Mill hot plate has it, the Bingo brand doesn't.

I wouldn't buy bingo brand electrical appliances, for safety reasons.

Gulp. I forgot to look before buying my bingo one. Did not open yet, will have to research and see if I can return. These things make me so nervous.

I have bingo brand and am very happy with it. I’ve never had a different brand so not sure how it compares, but my food bubbles on it when I leave it on
