Each item will be less but will add up together. Ie; a really nice jumpstarter (I think mine is like $80. It can be used as a portable charger + can jump the car up to 60 times alone. I LOOVVEEE it).

That plus the diffusers plus maybe a seat cover for the seats (if he has kids that make messes and he cares about the car etc).

If not, a Jackery type thing. It's beyond the budget and similar to the generator but there are smaller ones that are cheaper. They typically come with a foldable solar panel so they can be charged by the sun on a day outing. Helps with road trips for everyone to have power (especially when the car is not running) and then to have power at the places ie; a picnic in the park. Very multi purpose.
