Yup! Kids were bathed and now got to open the afikoman stuff we bought yesterday. If they get antsy maybe we'll walk to a local playground. No big plans. Made sure to do a good trip yesterday and told them ahead of time we weren't doing anything today so they didn't build assumptions

I went to work today. Does that count as "going out"?
And yes, I'm preparing and cooking for shabbos. Not being guests nor having guest (at least not that I know of), other than my own kids.

home. teen dd helping me cook. younger kids having water fight outside. we went somewhere exciting ( actually two places0 yesterday and that's enough. I aim for at least one exciting chol hamoed trip.

Yes and no.
Bathed kids last night.
My cleaning lady came in by herself this morning. (I unlocked the door when I woke at 4 for the baby).
Everyone wokr 10:30. Gave the kids breakfast and they got dressed and went to play outside w their bikes/scooters/segways....
She left at 12:30. I put baby to nap and I started cooking for shabbos. It's 2:15 now and I'm almost done. Waiting for dh to come home and eat lunch then were heading out. Planning to come home an hour before shabbos to shower and if a kid needs to be bathed again to do that.
Put food on blech and tzind.
The Fridays are LOOOONG now. Zman is after 7:30!
We took kids to a local playground yesterday so today is the FUN day....
